Calcium dive

Postby Maria H » Sat Apr 01, 2017 9:15 pm

Thanks to Ged and Jan for organising today's dive on the Calcium.

Our previous attempts to dive the wrecks of Liverpool Bay have started from the assumption that we need a neap tide, and then we are often disappointed that the weather isn't good. This week Ged and Jan started with a good weather forecast and decided to go for it despite it being a spring tide. It worked!! Ged and Steve had a decent dive while Jan and I provided boat cover. We launched from Rhyl, with the assistance of harbour master Dave Andy his tractor, a much shorter boat journey than from New Brighton.

A big thank you also to Sean, Ged and others who got the boat ready.

Thank you Maria for towing the boat once again.

The sun came out as planned. Steve and I had a nice little potter about on the wreck.
The harbour master had spotted us coming up the channel and had our trailer waiting for us on the slipway, brilliant service.

A grand day out.
